Dear Editor

Re-Development of Telephone House

Your Newsletter leaves the impression that the residents of York Road are only concerned about parking problems with regard to this new development.
- This is simply not true.

Before the Society's formal response to the 2nd application it should have a look at the Website of the residents of York Road:
http://uk.geocities.com/twyorkroad

As you will browse through the pages you will clearly see that there are quite some issues for which we would need rather support from the Civic Society, than being ignored.

The Residents of York Road

Note:
It has as well to be mentioned that the meeting in July 2000 was closed abruptly by Dr. Philip Whitbourn (president of the Civic Society) and no time was given to the residents (invited by Crest Homes) to put their questions forward.
The Website might give us the opportunity to be read by the committee of the Civic Society and taken into account, before they respond to TWBC.

Info:
Members/Councillors of the Western Area Planning Committee, Tunbridge Wells, decided the 2nd planning application on 18 October 2000 - against TWBC officers' recommendation: REFUSAL.
