Dear Mr Arthur

Thank you for the notification confirming the demolition of Telephone House. In view of the impact of the works to be carried out, vital information appears to be missing in your letter.

1. Is your letter informative only or is it inviting residents as consultees?
2. The demolition is linked to the redevelopment. Are all conditions for the development met?
3. Is the scheme of works stipulating the access points to the site, as required by the Inspector ?
4. Would it be possible to send me a copy of the scheme of works?
5. It was accepted by the case officer Ruth Chambers, the Inspector and Mr Arthur Mann of Cala Homes that demolition traffic should go via Church Road. I want an assurance that NO traffic will go via York Road.
6. When is the start date?

As this is a matter of great concern and urgency I urge you to respond within the week.

Our letter of 21 May 2002 and the associated copy of the Demolition Notice was for informative purposes only. This was provided in accordance with the requirements of Section 81 of the Building Act 1984.

I have forwarded a copy of your letter to Mrs Chambers in the Planning Department with a request to respond directly to items 2.6.
