We read:

To improve urban areas planting schemes can try to replicate native woodland habitats, but in an "alien", built environment it maybe better to take advantage of the diversity of beautiful trees introduced from around the world. Plantings in urban areas focus on the beneficial effect trees have on the climate and their surroundings.

And as we learn: mature trees are worth 1000s of saplings - the trees need to be integrated into the re-development of the Telephone House site, for present residents and their future neighbours. |
