Dear Mr Stone
Telephone House - DEMOLITION
Occupiers of York Road received a notification from Mr Patrick Arthur informing them in very general terms of the impending demolition of Telephone House.
Archie Norman informed us that you are aware of the residents’ concern, particularly during the demolition and construction period.
We note that none of our main concerns in connection with the demolition have been addressed in Mr Patrick Arthur’s notification.
Would you please let us have a copy of the revised Health and Safety Plan submitted by CALA Homes so that we may consider it.
Would you also please provide us with the Method Statement submitted by CALA.
In view of the impact on the amenities of residents will the work schedule be called in by Western Area Planning Committee?
Will you ensure that all conditions laid down by the Inspector will be met?
We would consider it helpful to have a meeting between CALA Homes, the officers in charge and a few members of our committee to thrash out a mutually acceptable modus operandi.
As we have not been advised of the starting date for demolition we would appreciate your early reply.
Yours sincerely
Annemarie Topliss

Thank you for your letter dated 27th May 2002.
The Council has decided that it will consult on the submitted Method Statement when this has been submitted by CALA. When I last enquired, the Method Statement had not been received.
I am enquiring into the latest position and will write to you again.
