Telephone House Development - Rights of Light
We have been given to understand that as from the end of Sept. 2002 you are the owners ( * ) of Trinity House, Church Road / York Road, Tunbridge Wells.
Are you aware that a block of flats is to be put up this year, on the boundary of the West Wing of your property?
The dormer windows concerned, constructed during the conversion of the building into offices, will be totally obstructed, resulting in considerable loss of light, and in addition to this there will be only an alley-like space between the 2 buildings, rendering access for maintenance well-nigh impossible, and also an invitation for fly-tipping.
We are enclosing photographs of the site showing the West elevation of Trinity House, where it will be most affected, and correspondence to the previous owner, National Westminster.
We invite you to look at our internet site http://uk.geocities.com/telephonehouse, and if after having gathered all the information, you feel that you could be supportive of the residents’ case, regarding Rights of Light, we would welcome contributory action.
Sincerely yours,
Katherine Quinnell

Telephone House Development – Rights of Light
In May 2001 and May 2002, we contacted your agent, DTZ – Mr Tim Rose, in London. Please find a copy of the letter enclosed.
There is no doubt that the owners of Trinity House have a Right of Light. With this legal issue in mind, would you be prepared to support residents in the area, with the same problem? If so, please contact the Telephone House Neighbours Association at the above address. For full information of this situation you might wish to contact us on our internet site http://uk.geocities.com/telephonehouse.
Sincerely yours
