Telephone House, Town Centre, Tunbridge Wells - 17.02.2003
The "monstrous" neighbour has been eradicated.
If CALA Homes continue their legalistic implementation of a very controversial planning permission, Nigel Watts’ prediction (in the Courier in August 2000) will come true:
"I fear that those entertaining the hope that Telephone House will be succeeded by a building of inspired design are due for a rude disappointment."
On many occasions rational arguments were brought forward by local residents, - alternatives proposed, - doors opened.
CALA's directors smiled, listened, grunted, - the plans remain unaltered. Why?
