May 2002 - We as your Conservative Councillors will:-

• Campaign to maintain and improve the amenity use of our Common through better funding from all sources
• Continue to press for extensions to the successful school walking buses
• Urge the Highways Authority to alter the criteria for 20 mph zones, especially close to schools
• Campaign for a resolution to the problems of school buses in Culverden Park and Culverden Down
• Press for an early start to the traffic calming scheme for Culverden Down
• Use our best efforts in ensuring that development schemes are sympathetic to the character of our historic heritage
• Want Town Planning NOT Town cramming
• Strive to make the Town Hall more customer led
