Development at Telephone House Church Road Tunbridge Wells
As I am sure you are ware, CALA Homes (South) Ltd recently purchased the above site and have permission to redevelop Telephone House to provide 43 residential apartments on the site, with associated basement level parking.
We intend to commence with the site set up and demolition of the redundant building during week commencing 27th January 2003, and are anticipating starting with the construction of the new blocks of flats during week commencing 28th April 2003.
Our demolition contractor and our staff are aware of your concerns with regard to this development, especially to traffic access and egress and the delivery of construction materials and plant. Please be assured that we will put in place the appropriate safeguards necessary to minimise disruption to local and neighbouring residents.
During the construction phase our Site Manager will be David Griffiths, but if you have any immediate concerns or queries with regard to these works, please contact the undersigned on the above telephone number.

DEVELOPMENT AT TELEPHONE HOUSE, CHURCH ROAD, TUNBRIDGE WELLS
Under the Scheme of Works approved by the Council CALA is permitted to use York Road for the access of plant and equipment for the demolition of Telephone House for a period of two days. CALA is also required to notifcy the residents of York Road of when this plant and equipment is to arrive.
Further to our letter dated 16th January advising you of CALA's intention to commence with the set up and demolition of Telephone House I am writing to confirm that plant and equipment will be delivered to the site via York Road on Monday 27th January. We will notify you again in advance of the second day.
CALA is aware of residents concern with respect to the development in general and the use of York Road in particular. The delivery of the demoltion plant and equipment via York Road is unavoidable and we will be working to a very tight schedule to ensure all the necessary equipment is delivered within this two day period and thereby limiting any disturbance to York Road residents.
