NORFOLK GRANGE
the Telephone House site, Church Road / York Road, Tunbridge Wells
THE SALE CAMPAIGN IS ON
31 July 2003
We read from
We speculate: "Norfolk" - Norfolk Hotel was the hotel which was demolished to be replaced by BT's ghastly Synchordia House.
We speculate: "Grange" - A grange, in the towncentre? - Is it a barn? farmhouse? countryhouse with outbuildings?
CALA is more imaginative on the pricing : from 325,000, the grangers say.
The crammed place provides for 43 flats - this includes 8 social housing on-site.
SUGGESTION: Would " CIDER HOUSE "
not be more appropriate ?N.B. - While residents in York Road, Tunbridge Wells, came only as a runner-up in this year's "Tunbridge Wells in Bloom" (they blame the felling of substantial road side trees by CALA Homes for this) - CALA invites prospective flat buyers to a barbecue in Sunningdale.
We wonder if our beloved trees in the Conservation Area, had to be turned into charcoal to provide for the feast?
